Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 is officially on its way, with the next major update just days away. Every new season introduces a ton of new content, so check out the Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 start date and time, Season 1 end date, and leaks about what to expect.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1 has been full of twists, surprises, and awesome content for fans of the battle royale to enjoy. From the brand-new Battle Pass, featuring unlockable skins like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Spider-Man, to the return of the legendary Tilted Towers POI, there has been plenty for us to enjoy.

Even with all this content to sink our teeth into, we can’t help but think about the future. For Fortnite, that’s Chapter 3, Season 2, and if we know Epic, it’s sure to shake up the game in ways we can’t even imagine.

But when will we get our hands on his major update? Well, we’ve got everything you need, including some Season 2 leaks to sink your teeth into.

When does Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1 end?

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 start date & time

    What’s in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2?

When does Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1 end?

Epic Games haven’t given us an official end date for Season 1, but we can use the game’s Battle Pass to determine when it will come to a close.

According to the Battle Pass, Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1 will end on Saturday, March 19, 2022. While this has changed in the past, Epic didn’t release a new patch for the game on March 15, which they could have used to delay the finale if required.

It’s also unlikely that Fortnite Season 1 will have an event to bring things to an end, as leakers were unable to find any files linked to a showstopping finale in any of the previous updates.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 start date & time

With the Season 1 end date in mind, Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 is set to begin on Sunday, March 20, 2022.

In terms of when it will start, here are the expected Fortnite Season 2 start times:

Time Zone Start Date & Time

    GMT 8:00 AM, March 20, 2022

    EDT 5:00 AM, March 20, 2022

    PDT 2:00 AM, March 20, 2022

    AEDT 8:00 PM, March 20, 2022

Of course, it’s possible that Epic Games could delay it by a couple of days, as most Fortnite updates release on a Tuesday. This means we expect it to start no later than Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 leaks

Even though Season 2 is just days away, very little is actually known about the upcoming patch. Thankfully, there are some leaks and theories that should help give us an idea of what to expect.

On March 5, renowned leaker HYPEX dropped a list of content that Epic are believed to be working on ahead of Season 2. Included in this were tanks, Tactical Sprint, a new Clamber mechanic, and Vehicle Mods that could add armor and turrets.

We’re also in the dark about what the theme for Season 2 could be. While some believe it could be based around a war between the IO and The Seven, others believe Star Wars will take center stage. This would make sense, as lightsaber animations were re-added in a previous patch.

There’s always a chance that Epic could spring a surprise on us though, which is what makes new Fortnite seasons so exciting. Teasers haven’t started dropping yet, but hopefully, they will give us a better idea of what’s to come.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Patch Notes: Release Date, Battle Pass, Map, Skins, Weapons And Everything You Need To Know

We're always looking ahead to the next Fortnite Season!

    March 17, 2022 | ROCCAT

Coming Soon....Fortnite's debut season for Chapter 3 is coming to an end this week. Chapter 3 came in with a bang, featuring everyone's favourite Web Slinger and a WWE icon.

A new season means a fresh overhaul of content for players to enjoy. The map, weapons and skins are just some of the things to get an overhaul. It doesn't stop there as many functions structures in the game are changed such as the way XP is earny and how quests are laid out.

So what can we expect this season in Fortnite? Here's what's new in Chapter 3 Season 2.

    Release Date

Players can expect to see update Chapter 3 Season 2 to release sometime on March 20th, 2022.

This relates to when the current season is slated to end, and HYPEX has noted that the current season is going to end on March 19 and this is emphasised by the Battle Pass for Season 1 ending on this date.

    Teasers Starting Today?

As we apporach the end of Season 1, we should start to see the official Fortnite account push teasers in the next day or two.

Marvel x Fortnite Zero War Comic Pages

    Patch Notes

The details of the patch notes are a bit scarce at the moment, but some things we do know are as follows:

    Map changes

Weapon pool changes (including vaulting, unvaulting and addding new ones)

    New Battle Pass

Rumoured Workshop and Gadgets apart of the Seven

    Rumoured Turret Mounted Vehicles

We'll update this regularly as we hear more - be sure to bookmark this page.

    Battle Pass

    What's Included?

Players can expect 100 Tiers of rewards ranging from Skins, Backblings, Pickaxes, Gliders, V-Bucks and more!

There are also additional rewards to unlock during the season throw completing Special Quests and levelling up past level 100.

We're expecting the price to remain the same for the Battle Pass - costing 900 V-Bucks to purchase the premium Battle Pass with a free option still remaining.

Those that want to push on and give themselves an advantage can pay for the Battle Pass Bundle. Costing 2800 V-Bucks, it gives players an additional 25 tiers from the get-go.

    How Will It Work?

The Battle Pass will likely adopt the same style as it has done in the past few seasons, opting for players to collect Battle Stars and unlock what they want at their own pace.

When Season 1 began, we got an entire map change. This is usually the formula Fortnite upholds for new chapters, but as new seasons begin, only some areas and parts of the map change to reflect the overarching story. We are likely to get a new POI or two, but the map will still remain true to its original shape and layout.

    @HYPEX has mentioned the following:

"Over the course of the season, it's clear that the IO is preparing for something big as their drills appear across the map, probing for weakness in the Seven's foothold on the island."

HYPEX has also stated that we could see a replication of the infamous rocket event from Chapter 1, due to a location looking very similar to a rocket launch pad, along with certain game files relating to this.

Another leak has emegered, and this time it has to do with the in-game files and FortTory has found that there's new Zero Point files that relate to some sort of Dark Tower!

@HYPEX has also said the following:

"Season 2 Leak (This was for S1 but The Workshop & Gadgets were delayed):

"The Seven have made their imprint across the island, but it's clear that survival was on their mind due to the size and scale of the Seven Village (Sanctuary) and the crazy gadgets seen at The Workshop.""

    Starter Pack

iFireMonkey noted that Zoe Clas may be somes sort of starter pack within Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.

    Dr Strange?

Well known Fortnite community member and leaker may have teased a Dr Strange collaboration. In his latest video, he kept emphasising the word 'Strange'. Given the game's history with Marvel collabs and the fact Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releases in May, this is a very realistic idea.

    Cloud Strife?

Another skin to come could be Cloud Strife...

    Drivable Battle Bus?

Tabor has also teased a drivable Battle Bus with turrets...

    Thermal Weapon

HYPEX has noted that a brand new Mythic Thermal AR is on the way for Season 2.

When does Fortnite Season 2 start? Here's everything we know

What can we expect from Fortnite Season 2 of Chapter 3?

When does Fortnite Season 2 start? Here's everything we know so far

By Iain Wilson published about 24 hours ago

What can we expect from Fortnite Season 2 of Chapter 3 when it officially comes out?

When does Fortnite Season 2 start is the query we all want answering while the current season winds down, as well as considering what the overall theme for the imminent Season 2 Battle Pass is going to be when it goes live. We've previously speculated that large changes were unlikely following the huge scale of the transition to Chapter 3, which flipped the entire Fortnite island on its head, and with no official announcements made just days before the season in progress is due to end it seems that Epic are planning a much softer launch this time. If you're looking ahead and are keen to know more about what's next for Fortnite Season 2 in Chapter 3, then here's everything we know about it so far.

When does Fortnite Season 2 start in Chapter 3?

The Fortnite Season 2 release date hasn't been officially confirmed, but according to the Chapter 3 Season 1 Battle Pass, as seen on the Epic Games website and the in-game message on the Battle Pass screen, we can determine the Season 1 Battle Pass will end on March 19, 2022. This means that the Fortnite Season 2 start date will most likely be around Sunday March 20, 2022, but there may be some downtime for the transition, and we should receive official confirmation on this soon.

What will be the biggest changes made for Fortnite Season 2?

After such a big shift to Chapter 3, it's unlikely that anywhere near as much will be altered for the next switchover, and the fact that there's been no official announcements made by Epic so close to release suggests that any changes made for Fortnite Season 2 will be minimal. We were promised weather effects in the current season, which have now arrived in the form of the Fortnite Tornadoes and Lightning sweeping across the island, and we could potentially see these features extended further. We've also discovered a number of Fortnite Mole Team Drill Sites around the map, along with the substantial base hidden inside the mountain at Covert Cavern, so expect a bigger presence from the Imagined Order as we move forward.

How much will the Fortnite Season 2 Battle Pass cost?

Fortnite is free to play, but buying the Battle Pass will get you loads of additional rewards. The Fortnite Season 2 Battle Pass will likely be available for the usual 950 V-Bucks, which means it will be enough to purchase the smallest V-Bucks bundle in the Fortnite store, priced at $7.99 / £6.49 to get you 1,000 V-Bucks.

It's possible to get a head start by buying the Battle Bundle upgrade. This will get you to Tier 25 on the Battle Pass instantly. Doing so will cost you 2,800 V-Bucks, which you can get for $19.99 / £15.99 (2,500 V-Bucks, plus 300 for free).

If you don't want to spend any money, you can always try to get free Fortnite V-Bucks for the Fortnite Season 2 Battle Pass, but don't fall for online scams! If you choose to save up some V-Bucks, remember that you only need to collect 950 of them to unlock the next Fortnite Battle Pass starting in March 2022.

And that's all we know about Fortnite Season 2 in Chapter 3 for now, but keep checking back and we'll have all the details as soon as they're revealed!
