At long, long last, Stranger Things season 4 is almost upon us.

And, judging by the recent trailer, which gave fans a look at Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the rest of the gang preparing to take on a new supernatural threat, while Hopper (David Harbour) is stuck on the other side of the world in a Russian prison, there's certainly a lot to look forward to (read our review here).

While the first three seasons were made up of either eight or nine episodes, season 4 will be released in two volumes.

The first volume, featuring the first seven episodes of the season, will land on Netflix on 27th May, while the final two episodes will follow in July.

And with some pretty staggering episode runtimes (to say the least!), the upcoming chapter – which will be the show's penultimate season – looks set to be bigger than ever.

So, when exactly are the nine episodes coming to Netflix? Here's everything you need to know about Stranger Things season 4's release times.

What time is Stranger Things season 4 released on Netflix UK?

The first seven episodes will air in the US and UK on May 27, albeit at different times.

For fans in the US, they will be able to watch the new episodes from midnight Pacific Time and 3am Eastern Time – which translates to 8am in the UK.

Episodes 8 and 9 will drop on 1st July, arriving at the times above.

    We can't wait!

How many episodes will be released in Part 1?

Stranger Things season 4 cast are back for more Courtesy of Netflix

Stranger Things season 4 part 1 is made up of seven episodes.

Part 2, in contrast, only features two episodes.

Having said that, the part 2 finale – with a two-and-a-half hour runtime – is longer than most movies, so fans don't need to worry about lack of action.

What is Stranger Things season 4 about?

Season 4 picks up in 1986, months after that battle at the Starcourt Mall that left telekinetic Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) devoid of her powers.

A new supernatural threat soon emerges, presenting the gang with a mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the miseries of the Upside Down. But will they succeed?

Sadie Sink, who plays Max Mayfield on the sci-fi show, has teased that the upcoming chapter is "the most bizarre season" yet.

"It's the most bizarre season we've ever had," she told People. "Just the scale of it is out of this world."

She added that while she "can't say anything" about a scene in the recent trailer which shows Max floating at her late brother Billy's gravesite, it is "a wild episode".

"We get to explore a lot of different themes and different sides of the characters that everyone knows and loves, so I'm looking forward to it. It's coming!"

Stranger Things 4 part 1 is released on Netflix on Friday 27th May, with more coming on 1st July. COVID has delayed so many things from our lives, but one of the most heartbreaking setbacks was Stranger Things season 4. Good news, then: after nearly three years, the show is finally back, and scarier than ever.

The fourth installment of the hit Netflix series takes place over spring break, six months after the epic battle against the Mind Flayer at Starcourt Mall. The Byers and Eleven no longer live in Hawkins and have settled in sunny California, far away from the rest of the gang. As the group is separated for the first time, they have to deal with both PTSD and the difficulties of high school, all at once. Meanwhile, an even more horrifying supernatural threat is emerging that is sure to mess with the gang even more than before.

Now that Stranger Things Season 4 is more a reality than a far-fetched dream, here’s a quick guide on when it will be available to stream, so that you don’t miss a single episode.

Stranger Things season four is split into two parts, with the first half premiering on Friday, May 27, and the second half on Friday, July 1.

Following Netflix’s standard release procedure, Volume One of Stranger Things Season 4 will be available to stream at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET on May 27. Volume Two will follow five weeks later on July 1 at the same time, so you’ll have plenty of time for an immersive Stranger Things summer.

Stranger Things season 4 is the show’s biggest season yet, as its runtime is nearly twice the length of its previous seasons (though that’s in episode length, not number of episodes). There are nine episodes total, with seven episodes premiering as part of Volume 1, and the final two episodes premiering as Volume 2. After this monster of a season, all there is left is the fifth and final season.

We can expect to see all of our favorite original characters returning to our screens. From the looks of the official posters, they’ve all split into different groups. The first group has David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, and Brett Gelman as Murray Bauman. The next group consists of Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley, and Priah Ferguson as Erica Sinclair. The last group will follow Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, and newcomer Eduardo Franco as Argyle. And as always, Millie Bobby Brown will be leading the cast as the beloved Eleven.

Stranger Things Season 4 Release Time for Netflix

Wondering at what time you'll get to watch Season 4 of Stranger Things? Well, read this post to learn about the show's release schedule.

Stranger Things Season 4 Release Time for Netflix

Vecna is coming. By Shivam Gulati

After almost three years, Stranger Things is returning to our lives with its much-awaited Season 4. The Duffer Brothers are ready to take the Hawkins gang on another Upside Down adventure. Also, judging from the official trailers, things will get darker for every character in the latest season. Well, if you’re yearning to watch the new episodes of the American sci-fi horror series, here’s everything you need to know about Season 4’s release time on Netflix.

Stranger Things, for many fans, is one of the most awaited shows for 2022. The third season of the TV show arrived in July 2019 and gave us eight spectacular episodes. Later that year, the streaming host officially confirmed that the show would return with Season 4. But sadly, the whole COVID-19 situation affected the show’s production, and that’s why it took this long for the creators to complete the season.

At first, Season 3’s ending felt like a conclusion to the story, especially because of what happened with Jim Hopper and Billy Hargrove. However, the final sequence of the previous season confirmed that this isn’t the end of Hawkins kids’ suffering. On top of that, the first eight minutes of Season 4’s premiere episode established that there’s so much we don’t yet know about Eleven. The new episodes are likely to lift the curtain on many secrets about Jane Hopper’s childhood.
