    Business Administration Master’s Degree program, aims to provide students with a solid formation in Business Administration along with a comprehension of a wide variety of techniques and concepts on managerial issues and the business world. This program is built on an interdisciplinary basis for students who would like to develop their research skills in the main domains of Business Administration namely Accounting/Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Management and Organizational Behavior. The program intends to produce open-minded researchers capable of analysis, synthesis and anticipation needed to be able to understand the business world which evolves in an increasingly complex and constantly changing environment.

    Qualification Awarded

    The students who have successfully completed this programme are awarded the Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

    Level of Qualification

    This is a Second Cycle program.

    Access Requirements

    A Bachelor’s Degree (First Cycle); ALES (Academic Personel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Examination) score of minimum 75 or GRE (Graduate Record Examination) Quantitative Section score of minimum 152 (660 points according to the old scoring system) or GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test) score of minimum 483; YDS (Foreign Language Proficiency Examination) score of minimum 70 in French or in English. Those who have B2 level in DELF and C1 level in DALF certificates and the graduates of Galatasaray University are regarded as providing the conditions of French foreign language requirement.

    Programme Requirements and Regulations

    The Master’s Degree in Business Administration is awarded to students who have successfully completed all the compulsory courses in the curriculum and the required number of elective courses (60 ECTS) with a cumulative grade point average of minimum 2.75 out of 4.00, a graduate seminar and a master’s thesis (60 ECTS).

    1 At the end of the program successful students, Will have a good command of the concepts and theories of different areas of Business Administration such as Production, Marketing, Accounting/Finance, Management and Organizational Behavior and will have an integrative point of view to understand the interaction between these domains.

    2 Will be able to grasp the operation of different functions (Accounting /Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Management) of organizations and also will be able to create hypotheses for research proposals.

    3 Will be able to do research for determining changes, diagnosing problems and developing solutions in business world.

    4 Will have a command of qualitative and quantitative research methodology.

    5 Will be able to conduct statistical analyses and interpret the results.

    6 Will have a command of scientific studies (writing articles, presenting papers)

    7 Should have mastery of at least one foreign language at a scientific level to be able to realize cross-cultural studies.

    8 Should be able to update his/her professional knowledge and skills continuously to be able to adapt to changes in scientific area.

    9 Should be able to do team work in researches and studies and contribute to information flow.

    Occupation Profiles of Graduates

    In parallel with the multi-disciplinary approach, students who graduate from the program find the opportunity to work in different areas of job (Accounting/Finance, Marketing, Human Resources etc). To meet the needs of the universities for qualified academic staff, they may pursue their academic career for doctoral programmes.

    Access to Further Studies

    The students graduated from this programme may apply to doctorate (Third Cycle) programmes.

    Grading Scheme and Grade Distribution Guidance

    For each course taken, the student is given one of the following letter grades by the instructor:

    A student who has received a letter grade of “AA”, “BA” or “BB” in any course is considered successful. Students who have received a grade of “CB” or “CC” are also considered successful provided that their cumulative grade point average is at least “2.75”. The letter grade “F” indicates “Fail”. The grade “BL” is given to a student who sucessfully completes the graduate seminar or the Master’s Thesis, whereas “BS” denotes a failing grade for the graduate seminar or the Master’s Thesis.

    Requirements for Master's Degree in Business Administration

    To meet admission requirements, applicants need to be 18 years old or older and be able to demonstrate a bachelor's degree completion and two years work experience

    As an accredited University, UoPeople has a number of requirements for all potential applicants, to help maintain a strong, intellectual student body. To meet admission requirements, applicants need to be 18 years old or older and be able to demonstrate a bachelor’s degree completion. In addition, applicants need to have:

    English proficiency (international students must meet English proficiency requirements according to the DEAC guidelines for graduate study)

    A minimum of two years work experience

    One reference (from an employer/lecturer etc.)

    An official bachelor’s degree transcript

    To apply for admission to our MBA program, applicants must complete an online application, including payment of a non-refundable Application Processing Fee.

    Once students complete their online application, they will be considered for admission to the UoPeople Foundations Courses.

    Demonstration of English proficiency is required per the guidelines listed here. If you are not able to demonstrate English Proficiency, then you will be required to complete English Composition 1 course in your first term, before continuing to study in the foundation courses.

    In order to be accepted to a graduate degree program, students must successfully complete the UoPeople MBA Foundations Courses. The UoPeople MBA Foundations Courses are designed to equip students with the necessary skills needed to thrive in their academic degree studies. Once students have successfully passed the UoPeople MBA Foundations Courses and sent their proof of Bachelor’s degree completion document, they may continue as Degree Seeking Students at UoPeople in their MBA degree program.     Submitting proof of undergraduate degree completion may be satisfied during your first term at UoPeople through the submission of:

    1. official diploma (or transcript showing graduation) sent directly to UoPeople (either mailed, submitted online or a scanned copy sent electronically); or

    2. a photocopy of the original diploma (or transcript showing graduation) certified by a notary sent directly to UoPeople (either mailed or submitted online); or

    3. for those who are unable to produce original diplomas/and or transcripts, such as Refugees and Asylum- Seekers, please contact [email protected] before proceeding with your application. Every case will be evaluated separately at the university’s discretion.
