Jannik Sinner has won given a games handicap of +1.5 in 15 of the last 17 matches.

    Bet: Handicap 1(+1.5)

Stefanos Tsitsipas has won in 12 of the last 14 matches.

    Bet: W2 1.48

Sinner continues to show not the most impressive tennis in his native walls, and so far everything goes to the fact that winning the title will not work. Even with rivals of medium caliber, Yannick understands not without difficulty, and against the background of more top opponents, he looks very weak at all. It is possible that due to the prohibitive motivation, the Italian will present pleasant surprises. However, I believe in this, to put it mildly, not too much. After all, the remaining competitors will definitely punish for the slightest oversight.

Tsitsipas also makes many unforced errors, but this does not prevent the fans from pleasing with impressive results. For a whole month now, Stefanos has been looking great, and there is no doubt that in the foreseeable future he will replenish the collection with another trophy. The representative of Greece is perfectly tuned for each game, which allows you to seize the initiative in a timely manner.

In this fight, Tsitsipas should be given a significant preference. Sinner definitely has something to strive for, and we believe that he will not rebuff a noticeably added opponent. The victory of the Greek athlete with a handicap -2.5 is a reasonable option for this confrontation.

World number 13 Jannik Sinner overcame a stern test by Filip Krajinovic on Thursday to win in two via a right second-set tiebreak. The 20-year-old is the last remaining Italian in either side of the draw after ousting Fabio Fognini in three sets on Wednesday night and he will enjoy a huge, partisan atmosphere on Friday against Stefanos Tsitsipas. Sinner’s five ATP titles have so far come on hardcourts but he reached the quarter-finals of Roland-Garros in 2020 for a career-best showing at a Grand Slam that he matched this season at the Australian Open before a straight-sets defeat to Tsitsipas.

World number five Stefanos Tsitsipas came back from a set down to beat Karen Khachanov comfortably enough in the end but it was another example of the Greek failing to maintain his top level on his best surface. The 23-year-old successfully defended his Monte-Carlo Open title last month but he had a real chance of reaching the Madrid Open final last week in a choppy semi-final against eventual runner-up Alexander Zverev. Tsitsipas finished runner-up to Novak Djokovic at last season’s Roland-Garros in similar circumstances after taking the first two sets against the eventual champion.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jannik Sinner will meet at the Italian Open for a third time with a win apiece in Rome so far. Tsitsipas claimed their first meeting here in 2019 for one of his three wins over the Italian but Sinner returned the favour a year later in three sets in front of jubilant home fans. Tsitsipas leads this head-to-head record 3-1 after most recently beating Sinner in the quarter-finals at the Australian Open and 2-1 on clay after winning their Barcelona Open semi-final last season. The Greek is the clear favourite to find a way through here but the Rome crowd will do their very best to irk him throughout and three sets seems a distinct possibility after his first two rounds have seen deciders. Backing Sinner to win at least a set could be the shrewd move here given the circumstances but the sensible call remains taking Tsitsipas to win outright.

    Tsitsipas Continues Good Clay Form

After a good start to the season making the semi-finals at the Aussie Open, Rotterdam and Acupulco, Stefanos Tsitsipas lost his way a little during the Sunshine Masters.

However, the Greek did well to pull back on clay winning the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 for a second year in a row and then despite losing out to Carlos Alcaraz in Barcelona, did well to make the semis at Madrid last week on the wrong side of a decider against German Alexander Zverev.

It has not been the easiest of times for Tsitsipas this week, being down match point to Grigor Dimitrov in the second round before coming through in a final set tiebreak against someone he seems to be playing weekly this season.

Tsitsipas also lost the first set of the next round against Karen Khachanov but then came back strong losing only three games in the next two sets.

Runner-up at the 2021 French Open, Tsitsipas will likely not defend his title at Lyon next week and so will look to give his all over the next couple days and hope to leave Rome with a deep run and high on confidence ahead of Roland Garros that begins in ten days time.

Sinner Seeks Confidence Ahead Of Slam

Italian Jannik Sinner started the season well making the quarter-finals of the Aussie Open, Dubai and Miami but a mix of reasons ranging from injury to illness did see him miss tournaments and pull out of Indian Wells mid-tournament.

The Italian did well to make the quarter-finals at Monte Carlo to kickstart his clay season losing in a final set tiebreak to Alexander Zverev.

It was an embarrassing straight set loss for Sinner last week in Madrid to Felix Auger- Aliassime winning only three games in the round of 16, but he seems to have pulled it back better this week.

Sinner has had two convincing wins against Pedro Martinez and Filip Krajinovic and although veteran compatriot Fabio Fognini pushed him to a decider, the younger Italian did well to pull through.

The 20-year old will be hoping for a few  good days ahead buoyed by his home crowd and in with a shot at a confidence boosting weekend ahead of the French Open.

Tsitsipas v Sinner  Prediction and Tip

This will be a close match as both players look to made a deep run here ahead of the French Open. It will be down to who plays the bigger points better and the crowd being all for Sinner may play a factor here too.

Not much to choose between both men, but expect Sinner pulling this off, much to the delight of the home crowd in a decider.

Tip: Sinner to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
