The film has a lot of unused footage, which was compiled separately, titled , which was released on Netflix on May 20, 2022.[9][10]

is a compilation of stunts, skits and pranks intercut with on-set talking heads with its cast. The film begins with a tribute to movies, in what appears to be a city being overrun by a giant green monster. In reality, it is Chris Pontius' penis painted green over a small set of a city intercut with the cast members running through a life-size set of the same city. The intro ends with the "monster" bitten by a snapping turtle and Johnny Knoxville's intro, "Hello, I'm Johnny Knoxville, welcome to Jackass!"

Stunts and pranks with the main cast include Johnny Knoxville facing a bull resulting in dangerous consequences, Steve-O having his penis used as a beehive, Chris Pontius' penis being used as the paddle for paddle ball, Dave England getting pig semen dumped on him, a vulture eating pieces of meat off Wee Man's body, Ehren McGhehey being subjected to painful tests with an athletic cup, and Preston Lacy's testicles being used as a human punching bag. The newcomers are also featured in many of the stunts and pranks, including Jasper Dolphin being shot off a ramp by large industrial fans while he's holding a parachute, Rachel Wolfson having a scorpion sting her lips, Poopies fighting off a Texas Ratsnake, Zach Holmes gliding down into a bed of cactuses, and Eric Manaka riding a bicycle full speed into a false wall.

The final stunt, Vomitron, features Zach, Dave, Eric, Poopies, Steve-O and Jasper drinking milk while strapped to a high-speed carousel. As they start vomiting, Knoxville and the rest of the cast initiate an attack involving paintball guns, a tennis machine and multiple explosions. After assuring the stunt is over, one big explosion is set off, surprising the victims of the stunt.

The cast from the previous films return, with the exception of original member Ryan Dunn, who died in 2011,[11] but does appear through archival footage in the end credits and pays tribute to him. It is the first movie to feature new cast members. Bam Margera was terminated from the film's production in August 2020,[12] for breaking his contract due to mandates related to substance abuse.[13] However he appears in one scene, "The Marching Band", shot prior to his firing as well as in archival footage.[14] Margera also filmed the segment "Silence of the Lambs" with Steve-O but his scenes weren’t included in the final cut of the film. He was also in the background of "The Triple Wedgie" but got cut out for the most part of that scene.

You will laugh, you will cry, you will smile… you may even get sick.

If you grew up on the antics of the Jackass crew, you may have found Jackass Forever an unexpectedly emotional experience.

Kicking back with Johnny Knoxville and the crew as they engage in stunts you wouldn’t even think of, let alone attempt, is time well spent. Comfortably from home or from the cinema – far away from dangers and smells – a pleasure.

Although many expected that Forever might have heralded the end of the franchise as we know it, saying goodbye to the familiar crew and embracing the new, you will have noticed that Jackass 4.5 will be released on Friday May 20th, 2022, appeared on Netflix.

But is Jackass 4.5 the same as Jackass Forever?

Is Jackass 4.5 the same as Jackass Forever?

No, Jackass 4.5 is not the same movie as Jackass Forever and features a wide range of new footage and wild stunts.

To offer an explanation, it’s basically like the B-sides of Jackass Forever. The film offers audiences a chance to see many stunts and hilarious moments that essentially didn’t make it into the main film.

This is sort of a tradition for the Jackass crew as there is also Jackass 2.5 and Jackass 3.5; both feature stunts not seen in 2 and 3 respectively.

Not only that, but Jackass 4.5 also serves as a commentary on the making of Jackass Forever, with the crew sharing their insights into what happened on set and how the ball got started on production.

Think of it as the perfect counterpart to Forever while also setting itself apart as a satisfying new film.

“So many great things have been kicked out of Jackass Forever”

Speak with Rolling StoneJohnny Knoxville spoke about Jackass 4.5, arguing that Jackass Forever is so great that 4.5 ends up being just as strong as it is:

“It’s strong. You know we’ve got a strong movie when 4.5 is strong. So many great things have been thrown out of Jackass Forever just because maybe they resembled something else we had in the movie or because we were too had a lot of pranks with the cast or too many things like that. Any number of reasons can trigger something in 4.5.”

He added, “It’s also great because you can break down a scene and do interviews and get a little under the hood of a stunt or prank. And there’s more [Compston] dark shark [Wilson] in this. He is great! He’s the funniest guy!”

    Another hit for the crew

Fans wasted no time in expressing how much they love Jackass 4.5. on twitter.

One of film's surprise hits earlier this year was the return of the Jackass crew in their fourth film, Jackass Forever. The film made a killing at the box office and is now on Blu-ray, but if that pain filled nostalgia trip was not enough, Netflix has announced the release date for Jackass 4.5. The film will release on the streamer on May 20, and we have a new sneak peek that is sure to make fans of the franchise die of laughter.

The ninety-second teaser shows off a never before seen stunt titled the Swingset Gauntlet, a stunt which sees the Jackass crew dodging a swingset in colorful inflatable costumes. Like most of their past stunts, it is filled with wincing chaos and crushing sound design. Also, half your laughter will spawn from everyone's reactions, like Johnny Knoxville, who drops to his knees at the hilarious sight of his friends being taken out by a swingset. This stunt takes the relatable pain of getting hit by a swingset and brings it to its most torturous degree of agony.

Like Jackass 2.5 and 3.5 before it, 4.5 looks to be more of the glorious same, with new stunts and new ways to experience pain from a distance. In its original state, Forever came out at the perfect time. The pandemic left the world in a very dark place and many were even questioning the relevance of theaters with the growing interest in streaming content. However, like a raging bull to the head, Forever knocked out the box office with over $80 million worldwide.

10 Wildest Stunts From 'Jackass Forever'

Some of that has to do with the nostalgia mentioned earlier, but it mainly had to do with the film gleefully reminding audiences how to laugh. Sometimes you just need a stupid good-time at the movies, endlessly laughing at Steve-O having a hornets nest strapped to his private parts or an exploding porta-potty, to remind you what the value of cinema truly is. It was dumb escapism at its finest, and it is going to be exciting to see what Forever left on the cutting room floor for Jackass 4.5. Especially, since it sounds like there will not be a Jackass 5 anytime soon.

Jackass 4.5 explodes onto Netflix on May 20. Until then, you can watch the full teaser for the film down below, and watch Jackass Forever on Paramount+. Forever is also available on Blu-ray and digital now.
