On TikTok, you used to be able to see who exactly had viewed your profile, but is that feature still applicable when it comes to recent versions of the app?For the past couple of years, TikTok’s popularity has been on a rapid rise, becoming the center for some of the internet’s most viral content.
From dancing, to life hacks, challenges, filters, and more, this app seems to have everything, and that has meant that a huge range of different communities have formed on the app, with lots of different creator profiles to flick through.
However, as you take a look at different peoples’ profiles, you may be wondering whether they are able to see if you have viewed it.

TikTok has become many people’s go-to social media app.
It used to be the case on the app that you could tap your notification tab and look at the ‘viewed my profile’ section to see who had viewed your profile, and at one point would even receive notifications to alert you to new profile views. But is that still a feature?
Can people see if I viewed their TikTok profile?
Although TikTok removed the ability to see who has viewed your profile a while back, in January 2022 there were reports that TikTok was adding the feature back in on an opt-in basis.
Users started reporting that the feature had returned in February, although not everyone was happy to see it make a comeback. For now, it seems like not everyone has access to the profile view history option, and whether it’s rolled out to the platform as a whole remains to be seen.

How To Tell If Someone Viewed Your TikTok Profile And Control It

Some controversies have stunted TikTok’s growth, but more importantly, it has become the go-to app for a series of celebrities, comedians, athletes, and brands. If you’re familiar with TikTok, you probably remember the days when the app sent you alerts letting you know that someone viewed your profile, but that function no longer exists.
This article discusses other ways to determine if someone is visiting your profile and how you can prevent unwanted snoopers from getting access to all of your TikTok content.
How to Know Who’s Viewing Your TikTok Profile
Unfortunately, TikTok no longer shows users who visit their profiles. Unless you’re using an older version, you cannot view profile visitors. You can only see who added you, commented on your post, liked something, or shared your video or post. If the other user doesn’t interact with your content, you’ll never know they were there.
It’s unsure if TikTok will ever bring the feature back, but like most other social media services available today, you can’t see who’s checking you out, taking screenshots, or even stalking your profile.
If you’re looking for analytics-type information (not who is watching but how many people are watching), TikTok did introduce the TikTok Pro accounts. This option provides information on how many people you’re reaching and gives you insight into which videos are performing better so you can get more followers!
But even TikTok Pro analytics won’t give you specific details about who is visiting your profile. Analytics only get used for understanding interactions and engagements.
How to Check Your TikTok Profile Views
Since TikTok completely removed the ability to see who is checking out your profile, you need to think outside of the box to see who is snooping around.
Despite the update, there are still a few signs that someone is visiting your profile. For example, if you receive consecutive notifications that someone likes your videos, they’re almost certainly on your profile. Of course, comments can indicate the same thing.
However, follow requests are not a sign that someone is on your profile because they can tap the ‘+’ icon on your video to follow you instantly.
How to Control Who Views Your Account
If you’re here because you’re concerned someone is viewing your profile, and you don’t feel comfortable with it, let’s review some ways to secure your account here.
Set Your Account to Private
First, you can set your account to ‘Private.’ If you want to become TikTok famous, this probably isn’t the best solution, but it’s the perfect option for casual users. Setting your account to ‘Private’ means no one can see your content unless you approve each user’s follow request. Here’s how to do it.
Tap on the “Me” icon in the lower right-hand corner of the app.
Then, tap the “three vertical dots” in the upper right-hand corner.
Select “Privacy.”
In the “Privacy account” section, toggle the switch to make your account private.
Of course, the above steps won’t work for everyone’s needs. So, if there’s only a handful of users you feel are stalking your profile, you can block their accounts instead.
Block Specific TikTok Users from Viewing Your Profile
Blocking TikTok users is probably the best option to control who sees your posts, and you still get to keep your account set to public. Of course, nothing stops the user from stalking your account in other ways, such as using a different profile. To block specific users, do the following.
Visit the profile of the person you want to block.
Tap on the “three-dot” icon in the upper-right corner.
Select “Block” in the popup window.
How to View Profiles Anonymously
There may be times when you’d like to view someone’s TikTok content without alerting them. If you’re logged in to your TikTok account and use the app to search for a particular profile, it will notify them that you were checking out their content the next day.
You can always like or comment on their videos, letting them know you’re only checking their profile to enjoy their content. Assuming that’s not creepy, there’s no need to worry about viewing someone else’s TikTok content.
If you’d like to remain anonymous, you’ll have to view their profile when not logged in. You will have to use the Google or iOS app to do this. The web browser version of TikTok does not allow you to search for another user. To search up a profile, do the following:

You can't see who views your TikTok videos, as the app lacks such a feature.
TikTok offers users the ability to see how many times their video has been watched, but does not show which individual users or accounts view it.
Early TikTok users were able to see who viewed their profile, but TikTok is one of many social media apps whose policies and features are continually changing.

It's completely normal for social media sites to frequently change their policies, features, and community guidelines. TikTok, the short-form video platform, is no different.
When TikTok launched, it had a feature that allowed users to see who visited their profile. But that is no longer the case. Unlike Instagram's Stories or Snapchat, where users can see who views their content, TikTok doesn't offer its users the ability to see who viewed their videos, only how many times each video has been viewed.
Can you see who views your TikTok?
No. TikTok does not have a feature that allows its users to see which accounts have viewed their videos. This means that while you may not be able to see who exactly is viewing your videos, your viewing habits are also left anonymous, too.
Instead of showing who has viewed your videos, TikTok only shows how many times videos on your profile have been viewed.
TikTok users can see who comments on their videos as well as who creates "duets" or "stitches" (essentially video edits) of their content using the Activity tab on the app.

TikTok Pro is free and provides users with more analytics on how to gain more followers, as well as the option to promote your account on the platform. How to control who views your TikToks
If you do not want to share your content with just anyone, consider making your TikTok account private.
To make your account private, go to Me in the bottom-right corner, then select the three-dot (or three-line) icon in the top-right corner, which is called Settings and privacy. Then, select Privacy.

With a private account you have the ability to approve or deny new followers, as well as who can privately message you. Remember that your profile picture, bio, and username are public.
To block specific users, go to their profile page, select the Menu icon at the top (resembling three horizontal dots or lines) and then tap Block at the bottom of the menu.
