Losing my mind with the lack of service response from Comacst. Yesterday, self-installed television service without issue. Downloaded app to set up Wifi router. Logged in with username/password only to receive this error message: "Access not Authorized. You signed in successfully, but you must be an Xfinity user to enjoy this service." I can not get past this screen, my account page has stated 'we are setting up your account' for 24 hours and I can not get a human being to respond to me. Messenger, Twitter, and certainly not on the telephone. I am a paying customer that can not use their service. Please help!

I am sorry to hear that you are having some issues. Without the benefit of being able to see your account I cannot give you a definite answer as to why. My first instinct on this is that you most likely either have a modem that is owned by you and not rented through Comcast or you do not have the correct xFi modem. If you would like, feel free to direct message with your account information and i can look at it. Thank you

Hello I'm having the same exact problem. Paper tells me to sign in to the app but the app won't let me log in saying I'm not a customer but I obviously am since I bought the Internet. My modem is from xfinity.

I’m having the same problem. I have a roku in my living room wixfinitybeta working great. Attempting to set up second roku in bedroom and error message is same as above. Why??

Hello, @HODGIE6 you do not download the app to set up your Gateway modem. You first connect to xfsetup and then put your password in that is on the sticker on the Gateway that says "Network security key or password"
Then you create a new SSID/ Network name and then your password. Once you do all of that you then open up the xFi app and log in with your Comcast user ID/Email however do not put the Comcast.net part , just the 1st part of it. If that doesn't work please reply back and we can go from there. Thanks!

Hi, @redpopsicle Since this is a open forum, all i can say is this to protect your account and the privacy of your account. The Comcast UID/Email attached to your name on this forum comes back as not valid and or active anymore.
You will need to create a new UID/Email or click forgot UID to see if one will come up connected to your address/Comcast account. The reason for you not being able to sign in is different than the rest that are having log in users etc.

Comcast Business Bill Increased by 60% in December, Account Reps Ghosted Me - Help!
Hey All,
So here's the situation:
I thought I had a permanent monthly rate set with Comcast, but it was a promotional rate. The promotional rate ended in December 2021, and my bill auto-paid twice before I noticed the 60% increase in my monthly bill. Not exaggerating.
As soon as I noticed the drastic increase, I reached out to two different account reps. These guys each typically call me and email me once per month, offering me all kinds of services that I don't need, and it's usually pretty annoying. However, I thought, hey, these guys can probably help me out.
I emailed both of them as soon as I noticed this billing debacle and asked for options to get my bill back to where it was (promotional rate or not, a 60% increase is totally unreasonable. I'm just a person working from home - this comes right out of my family's monthly budget). Ideally, I'd also like Comcast to give me a service credit for the months that I "overpaid," so I asked for this too.
Both account reps totally ghosted me. No response at all, and amazingly I've gone from multiple calls/emails to none since I reached out. I've followed up with each person twice.My Comcast bill will auto-pay in the next couple of days. Once it does, I'll have "overpaid" $600 to Comcast since this increase set in.
How do I get this rectified if my account rep won't respond to me? Call tech support?I'm generally pretty happy with my service and would like to keep it, but there's no way I can justify paying the current rate. It's an absurd monthly cost for a tech person working from home.
Note: I have Comcast Business because I consider my Internet connection critical infrastructure and don't mind paying extra for improved service and no data caps. However, my monthly run rate is now extra-extra, probably 4x what a consumer would be paying for the same data transfer rates.

I'm sure this is going to seem like a really dumb question but I just signed up for service at a new location that I'm 99% sure doesn't even have a line ran from the pole to the house (house next door is wired up). When I was ordering everything there was never an option to have a pro install scheduled. I would really like to get a pro install scheduled. Is that something I can get help with here?

Can't work from home with all these outages
Multiple people in this household (including tenants) work remotely, so having random Internet outage for hours on end in the middle of work days with no explanation or reliable estimated resolution to the problem is unacceptable. This has gone on for weeks.
